綜合外媒報導，玻利維亞外交部副部長馬馬尼（Freddy Mamani）在週二（10月31日）的記者會上宣布和以色列斷交，同時譴責以色列對加薩的攻擊，更指這樣的行為是犯下「危害人類罪。」
馬馬尼也在記者會上表示，以色列在加薩地區的軍事行動具侵略性、不成比例，也造成無數平民傷亡、巴勒斯坦民眾流離失所。同時表示會對加薩提供人道救援，但他沒有詳述救援內容。
事實上，這不是玻利維亞首次和以色列斷交，在2009年玻利維亞由左翼政府執政時，當時也是為了抗議以色列在加薩的行動而斷交，直到2020年由右翼總統上任，才恢復建交。
